This past spring I had the opportunity to take a couple of fantastic e-courses with Jeanne Oliver. I did not realize my creative potential until I took her courses. Oh, how I have been blessed. With each of the courses there was a corresponding Facebook page where all of us artsy chicks could go to talk about our art and ideas. I have to admit that I didn’t visit the Facebook pages often. But one day I actually took a moment to visit the page and there was idea from Stacey for an art swap. In the past I took part in a blog swap and that was a lot of fun. But this time I am able to create something to send to my swap partner. What fun, of course I want in on this!
I was so excited to find out more about the person who I would be swapping with. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do for art --I hadn’t crocheted in over a month. My passion for it had just disappeared. Then came the email with my swap partner. As soon as I read the description for her blog I knew what I was going to make!
My swap partner was Jenna. Jenna is on a journey, I love to create things for people on journeys. I am not surprized that I was lucky enough to be matched with Jenna. We were the only two Canadians that were taking part in the blog swap but we were matched for a purpose. I am hoping that Jenna got as much as I did out of this experience. I am excited to see what Jenna’s blog post says today. Crocheting for Jenna was so therapeutic for me, and now I am back crocheting like crazy, and I love it!
I have to say that I was anxiously awaiting my package from Jenna, I was so excited the day that it arrived!
Packages in the mail are the best!
And then the unveiling……………………
Oh my goodness! So unique, so beautiful, love, LOve, LOVE!!!![]()
The details and the creativity, I was blown away!
I have already hung it on my wall!
I am so happy that I took part in this Art Swap, (I was not going to to do it because I thought I was too busy) not only did it make me feel good to send a gift to someone special, but to receive something so exciting! What great works of art I now have displayed in my home and I will love to tell the story about how they came to become mine for years to come!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your gift Carolyn. It's been such a comfort for me. Lol. My digs and cat like snuggling with the blanket too. I'm glad you like the peices I sent. It was such fun to make them just for you. Sorry it's taken so long to respond. I'm glad you've gotten back into crocheting again. It's a good thing!
